Our Mission

It is a fact that adequate food and water are the main essentials needed to preserve both a healthy body and a healthy mind. This is true for all living things. Food and water provides us with the required energy needed to rejuvenate our life-force. When our body is deprived of crucial nutrients, we are left feeling lethargic, foggy, and out-of-focus. This behavior is directly linked to lower information processing skills and poor work performance in adults. Poverty-stricken adults and their children are subject to this dull headframe on a day-to-day basis. However, the effects of hunger on children versus adults is much worse for the child. When a young and still developing brain has to perform in conjunction with a constantly malnourished body, severe conditions such as anxiety and depression become more prevalent in early stages of their lives.

It is clear that the struggles associated with poverty brutally control these individual’s education, employment, and health outcomes in the long-term.

In California alone, roughly 7.5 million people live in extreme poverty everyday, with an estimated 754,000 of that figure being children. Unfortunately, poverty shows no mercy on anyone. These affected individuals and families are stuck in circumstances where they don’t know where their next meal will come from, let alone how they will be able to sustain and support their loved ones.

Our Impact

Slammed Foundation gives impoverished families regular access to food, water, and standard hygiene products to boost the morale of the entire family tree and provide them with an opportunity to thrive beyond their everyday struggles.

Equipped with this new assurance, children inherently regain their confidence and abilities in the classroom, increasing their chances of building successful lives for themselves and families. Parents and working individuals are able to recoup and recover that much needed energy to endure more throughout their everyday lives, while eliminating the stress factor of not having enough or any food at all to nourish their loved ones.
